Abandon those high heels ladies! Wearing high-heeled shoes leads to abnormal body posture. Due to the missing rolling motion of the heel of the foot to the ball of the foot, an unatural pelvis position follows that is then transferred to the lumbar spine inducing a hollow back. As a result, the intervertebral discs have to absorb the increased pressure which can affect the nervous system leading to a myriad of symptoms.

When possible, try to wear flat shoes preferably with only a very small heel (1-1.5 inches) with soft soles so your foot can roll better and your lumbar spine has the proper movement needed while walking. Ideally, avoid leather soles as they are very inflexible. Try to walk barefoot or with socks in your leisure time or as often as possible to counter balance the compensation of wearing high heels.
